Mariners and Dover Shores Neighborhood Traffic Calming Study, City of Newport Beach

RK Engineering Group was nominated for the ITE 2021 Transportation Achievement Award in the Traffic Engineering category for their work on this project. RK was retained by the City of Newport Beach to perform an analysis of existing traffic conditions to determine whether the concerns potentially support the implementation of conceptual traffic calming improvements within the communities of Mariners and Dover Shores. RK led Community meetings, analyzed traffic and accident data, and developed traffic calming measure recommendations based on City and neighborhood input, and engineering standards.
