Airport Way Noise Isolation Study, City of Santa Ana

RK Engineering provided a noise isolation study for a warehouse building located adjacent to the John Wayne Airport in the City of Santa Ana. The proposed project planned to redesign the interior office space and convert the area into two (2) conference rooms, a call center, offices, and warehouse space. The redesigned space was assessed for noise impacts from the adjacent airport with respect to the common walls, roof ceiling assembly, and front door partitions. The building shell design and the common walls assemblies, which now separate the redesigned interior space from the exterior aircraft noise, were analyzed with respect to the theoretical noise isolation performance by estimating the sound transmission class (STC).
